In May 2008, Wolfram, Tobias and I have met for the first time to organize the first of many dojo.beer() events in Europe. This was the beginning of 6 wonderful years, where I was fortunate to being able to learn something new each and every day. uxebu allowed me to be part of a completely distributed team and working together in ways, which to us were normal, to many others very forward-thinking and new. uxebu brought me to countless conferences: both attending and speaking. uxebu made me dive into mobile web technology early (back when Nokia was still a major player ;) ) and I consider myself lucky to have worked with and have met many amazing and inspiring people in the JavaScript world.

Now it’s time for me to move on… When we worked on the Flash to HTML5 conversion (pixelplant) my interest in developing a product has peaked and it became clear to me that this is something I truly love and want to spend my time working on.

While I am very sad to leave my friends at uxebu, I am happy to announce that starting this month, I will be joining Cloud9 in their Amsterdam office. I will be joining the team to help bringing an amazing product into the market and make Cloud9 a platform, developers love to work with.

I am looking forward to continue being in close contact with everybody at uxebu and sincerely hope that we can continue to push the web forward together by the work we do.

Thank you for the great time!
